Hemsby Check Tomato

Hemsby Chks & Stripes FabricF3728-06

Hemsby Check Tomato is a classic checked cloth with a warm beige ground and crisp tomato-red lines. The small woven texture gives the pattern a soft, slightly rustic feel rather than a sharp graphic look.

About this fabric

This Hemsby Chks & Stripes fabric has a repeat of approximately V 12cm / H 12cm and a width of approximately 143cm, with a composition of 57% viscose, 21% cotton, 12% linen and 10% polyester. The swatch shows a light natural ground with fine red crossing stripes, creating a clean country check that feels balanced and easy to live with. The weave has a dry, linen-like character with enough body for upholstery, while still remaining suitable for curtains and relaxed interior schemes. The tomato red reads as a clear, cheerful accent against the muted beige base, giving the design more energy than a softer brick or terracotta tone.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, bench seat or dining cushions where the red check can lift pale timber, painted joinery and neutral upholstery. It also hangs well as informal curtains, especially in rooms that already have warm natural textures.

A fresh country check that works neatly across upholstery and soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
