About this fabric

This Irving fabric from Colefax and Fowler is a woven textile with a repeat of approximately V 11cm and H 5cm, and a width of approximately 142cm. Its blend of 55% viscose, 21% polyester, 14% linen and 10% cotton gives the cloth a refined handle with a textured surface that supports both fitted upholstery and tailored drapery. In this colourway, the red reads as clear and energetic rather than dark or velvety, while the sage and pale tones lighten the pattern and keep the overall effect fresh. The small geometric motif is especially visible in the alternating rows, which gives the fabric a steady rhythm and a smart, ordered look.

How to use it

Use Wyatt Red/Sage on an accent chair, window seat or boxed cushion to bring colour into a neutral room. The sage-softened ground stops the red from feeling too bold, so it works well alongside oak, plaster pinks and muted greens.

Use it for a lively chair or cushion scheme where the red detail can warm the room without feeling heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
