Kinsford Tomato

Irving FabricF4679-02

Kinsford Tomato is a tightly woven small-scale geometric fabric in a vivid warm red, softened by pale bouclé-like highlights. The repeat reads crisp and orderly, giving the swatch a lively, textural surface rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

This colourway combines bright tomato red with creamy beige and softer rose-toned threads, so the overall effect is warm, energetic and slightly sunlit. The woven pattern has a neat, mosaic-like regularity, with the small repeat of approximately V 3cm / H 3cm giving the cloth a refined, compact look. At 137cm wide and woven in 40% viscose, 30% cotton, 24% linen and 6% polyester, it has the substance and handle to sit comfortably in both upholstery and drapery applications. The mix of fibres also helps the surface catch the light unevenly, which keeps the red feeling rich rather than flat. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair this tomato red with pale oak, parchment, or warm neutrals to let the woven pattern stand out. It also works well as a smart accent on a chair, bench, or curtain where its compact scale can add colour without overwhelming the room.

Use for tailored upholstery or structured drapery where you want a lively, warm red with textural depth.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kinsford Tomato without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
