Darwen Tomato is a warm, earthy red textile with a closely woven surface and fine directional texture. Its tomato shade shifts gently between russet and terracotta as the light catches the threads.

About this fabric

The visible surface is a plain woven texture, with delicate vertical and horizontal irregularities giving the tomato-red ground a softly tactile finish. Made from 42% viscose, 34% cotton, 20% linen and 4% polyester, it is 142 cm (55.79") wide. A 30,000 Martindale rub test supports its use for loose and fixed upholstery, while the supplied specification also lists curtains and bedspreads. The colour is warm and substantial rather than bright scarlet, with darker woven threads adding quiet depth.

How to use it

Use Darwen Tomato on a reading chair, sofa or upholstered headboard to introduce a grounded terracotta-red accent, or make full curtains for a warmer, enveloping effect. Pair its textured surface with natural wood, aged brass and soft neutral upholstery.
