Pentridge Tomato is a warm, dusky red textile with a fine, visibly irregular weave. Its close surface shifts subtly between tomato, brick and muted terracotta tones as the light catches the threads.

About this fabric

The fabric has a compact plain weave with small tonal variations across the surface, giving the tomato red colour a softly tactile, linen-like character rather than a flat finish. Its 4% Polyester, 46% Cotton, 32% Viscose and 18% Linen composition combines natural-looking texture with a versatile drape and handle. At 140 cm (55") wide, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 30,000 Martindale rub test makes it appropriate for substantial everyday upholstery use. After care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use Pentridge Tomato to bring warm, grounded colour to a neutral room, particularly on an occasional chair, relaxed sofa or full-length curtain. Pair its brick-leaning red with warm oak, aged brass, oatmeal and softly chalky wall colours.

A warm, textured tomato red for relaxed upholstery, curtains and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
