Burford Weave Soft Red has a muted, warm red ground with fine lighter flecks woven through it. Its close, miniature grid-like texture gives the colour a softly dimensional appearance rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

This tightly woven textile combines 48% Viscose, 26% Linen, 20% Cotton and 6% Polyester in a 140 cm width. The small-scale texture is formed by a subtle regular weave, with warm red, dusty rose and pale tan threads creating gentle visual depth. With a 25,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. It has a 1 cm vertical pattern repeat and 1.5 cm horizontal repeat; professional dry cleaning is required, and it should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use this softened red on a window seat, occasional chair or upholstered headboard to bring warmth without the intensity of a saturated crimson. It also works well as relaxed curtains or a bedspread, where the fine woven texture can be seen at close range.
