Burford Weave Indigo

Burford Weaves FabricBF11035.2

Burford Weave Indigo has a cool, muted blue-grey ground with a tightly woven micro-grid that shifts subtly between indigo and softer grey. The close-up reveals a fine, even texture rather than a bold printed motif.

About this fabric

Woven from 48% Viscose, 26% Linen, 20% Cotton and 6% Polyester, this 140 cm (55") fabric has a softly structured surface and restrained tonal depth. Its 1 cm (.39") vertical repeat and 1.5 cm (.59") horizontal repeat create a discreet miniature grid that reads as near-solid from a distance. The indigo shade is desaturated and cool, with the small weave catching the light in slightly lighter grey-blue flecks. Suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, it has a 25,000 Martindale rub test. Care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the cool indigo-blue tone to give a tailored armchair, headboard or loose cover quiet depth, or pair it with pale stone, chalk and warm timber for contrast. As curtains, its fine micro-grid adds texture without competing with patterned furnishings.

A tailored indigo micro-weave that brings cool depth to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
