Burford Weave Nutmeg

Burford Weaves FabricBF11035.6

Burford Weave Nutmeg has a warm, softly muted brown tone, with a fine woven grid that gives the surface a quiet, tactile depth. Its close texture reads as gently natural rather than flat or plain.

About this fabric

Woven from 48% viscose, 26% linen, 20% cotton and 6% polyester, this 140 cm (55") fabric combines a subtle natural-looking texture with a softly refined finish. The nutmeg colour sits between warm taupe and light brown, with delicate tonal variation visible across the tiny checked weave as the light moves over it. Its 1 cm vertical and 1.5 cm horizontal pattern repeats create a restrained, closely spaced surface rather than a bold motif. Rated at 25,000 Martindale, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Nutmeg on a relaxed armchair, upholstered headboard or loose-covered sofa where its warm brown tone can soften creams, oat tones and darker timber. It also works as a quietly textured curtain or bedspread fabric when a room needs depth without a strong pattern.

A warm, finely grained neutral for relaxed upholstery, curtains and layered bedroom furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
