Burford Weaves FabricBF11036.1

Fairfax Red/Blue combines fine horizontal striping with a softly irregular woven surface. Its pale cream ground is threaded with muted coral red, dusty blue and subtle neutral lines, giving the colourway a quietly weathered character.

About this fabric

Woven from 3% Polyester, 57% Cotton, 24% Viscose, 13% Linen, 2% Wool and 1% Nylon, this 140 cm fabric has a fine linear texture that shifts gently across the surface. The closely spaced horizontal bands are predominantly soft red and powder blue, with cream and warm neutral threads adding depth rather than high contrast. A 26 cm vertical pattern repeat keeps the stripe arrangement considered and easy to work with. With a 40,000 Martindale rub test, Fairfax Red/Blue is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use the faded coral and dusty blue tones to soften a relaxed sitting room, pairing the fabric with chalky creams, pale timber and understated blue accents. Its horizontal rhythm also works well on a bedspread or upholstered headboard where the fine stripe can run across the form.

A softly textured horizontal stripe that brings muted coral red and dusty blue into relaxed upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
