About this fabric

The cool blue-grey ground is crossed by narrow horizontal bands, with creamy and taupe threads adding gentle warmth rather than strong contrast. Small repeated dash-like motifs appear between the stripes, while the fine weave creates a lightly weathered texture across the surface. Composed of 57% cotton, 24% viscose, 13% linen, 3% polyester, 2% wool and 1% nylon, the 140 cm-wide fabric has a 26 cm vertical pattern repeat. With a 40,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Fairfax Blue to bring a cool, settled tone to a sitting room or bedroom, pairing its blue-grey stripes with chalky neutrals, pale timber and warm taupe accents. Its horizontal rhythm suits tailored blinds, upholstered seating and relaxed bedspreads alike.

A cool, quietly textured stripe that works across tailored upholstery, relaxed curtains and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
