Vintage Velvet Mole
Vintage Velvets VelvetBF10700.240
Vintage Velvet Mole is a deep brown-grey velvet with a subdued, charcoal-like cast. Its plush pile catches the light in softly irregular patches, creating a gently weathered surface rather than a flat plain.

About this fabric
The colour reads as dark mole brown softened by cool grey undertones, giving this velvet a grounded, quietly dramatic depth. Light moves across the pile to reveal cloudy variations of brown, charcoal and muted taupe. Made from 95% polyester and 5% viscose, it is 137 cm wide and suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The 50,000 Martindale rub test makes it a practical choice for hard-working upholstered pieces; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.
How to use it
Use this charcoal-tinged mole brown on a deep sofa, ottoman or headboard where its shifting pile can add richness without introducing a strong pattern. It also brings weight and softness to full-length curtains in rooms layered with warm timber, aged metal or muted neutral textiles.
A deep, softly mottled velvet for tailored upholstery and rich, full-length curtains.

Pairs well with
Vintage Velvet Mole is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
