About this fabric

The Nutmeg colourway reads as a mellow brown with a subtle taupe cast, rather than a bright or strongly red-toned shade. Fine horizontal and vertical threads form a restrained checked texture, while small variations in the linen yarn keep the surface from appearing flat. Made from 100% linen and supplied at 137 cm wide, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 50,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered furniture; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use this warm Nutmeg brown to bring a grounded, tonal finish to upholstered seating, or let it fall as relaxed curtains against cream, stone and deeper timber tones. Its understated crosshatch texture also works well across bedspreads where a plain fabric needs more surface interest.

A warm, quietly textured linen suited to both tailored upholstery and softly relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
