King's Velvet Bronze
Historic Royal Palaces VelvetBF10658.850
King's Velvet Bronze has a deep, earthy brown tone with bronze warmth showing through the dense velvet pile. Its surface appears softly mottled, with darker and lighter areas created by the direction of the nap rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric
This velvet is composed of 69% viscose, 19% cotton and 12% polyester, with a 140 cm (55") width. The dark bronze-brown colour reads as rich and atmospheric, while the brushed surface catches light in subdued, irregular highlights. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for loose and fixed upholstery as well as curtains and bedspreads. Care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use this deep bronze-brown shade on a substantial armchair, sofa or headboard where its nap can shift between near-black brown and warm bronze. It can also bring a darker, more enveloping quality to full-length curtains or a coordinated bedspread.
A deep bronze velvet with a softly varied nap, suited to richly upholstered seating and other statement pieces.

Pairs well with
King's Velvet Bronze is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
