About this fabric
Made from 69% viscose, 19% cotton and 12% polyester, this 140 cm (55") velvet has a richly textured surface with low-contrast tonal variation. The Platinum colourway reads predominantly charcoal, with smoky graphite depth and restrained silver highlights across the nap. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for fixed and loose upholstery as well as curtains and bedspreads. Care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use this cool charcoal colourway to give upholstered seating a deep, tailored presence, especially alongside pale stone, soft grey or brushed metal accents. Its subtly shifting nap can also add depth to a dark, layered scheme without introducing a strong pattern.

Pairs well with
King's Velvet Platinum is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
