About this fabric

This 416gsm velvet combines a substantial upholstery weight with a detailed 84cm vertical and 65cm horizontal pattern repeat. Its 130cm usable width allows the sweeping acanthus foliage to be considered across larger upholstered surfaces, while the 145 threads-per-cm construction supports the dense visual definition of the design. In this colourway, warm greige and parchment leaves sit against charcoal and near-black detailing, giving the pattern more depth than a flat mid-grey scheme. The tonal contrast makes the curled leaves and fine internal markings especially legible across the surface.

How to use it

Use the warm charcoal-grey ground on a feature armchair, headboard or sofa, and pick up its parchment and taupe foliage with natural timber, aged brass and muted stone upholstery. Keep surrounding plains restrained so the layered acanthus leaves remain the focus.

Use this warm charcoal-grey colourway on a statement chair or sofa, with aged wood and quiet stone tones to balance its dense acanthus pattern.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
