Brunswick Bottle

Archive IV The Collector Fabrics FabricMOF0078-02

Brunswick Bottle reads as a deep, muted bottle green softened by taupe and warm brown threads. Tiny blue and rust-coloured flecks punctuate the tightly packed herringbone surface, giving the dark ground a subtly weathered lift.

About this fabric

This 710 gsm fabric has a substantial, closely woven handle suited to upholstery. Its 140 cm usable width provides generous coverage, while the 18 threads per cm specification reflects the compact texture visible across the swatch. The small-scale herringbone or chevron weave shifts gently between bottle green, taupe and brown as the light catches it. With both vertical and horizontal pattern repeats listed as 0 cm, its visual interest comes from the continuous woven texture rather than a large set motif.

How to use it

Use Brunswick Bottle on a tailored armchair, dining chair or compact sofa where its deep bottle-green taupe tone can sit comfortably with warm wood, aged brass and quiet neutral walls. The occasional blue and rust flecks offer restrained colour accents for cushions or painted furniture.

A substantial herringbone upholstery cloth whose muted bottle-green taupe ground suits tailored seating and classic timber furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
