Brunswick Saffron

Archive IV The Collector Fabrics FabricMOF0078-07

Brunswick Saffron is a substantial woven textile in a warm saffron and russet palette. Its close, fine-scale zigzag structure creates a softly variegated surface, with cream threads picking out the chevron rhythm.

About this fabric

The fabric combines ochre-saffron, terracotta and rust tones with narrow cream highlights, giving the colourway a warm, earthy depth rather than a flat yellow appearance. A tightly repeated zigzag or herringbone motif runs across the surface, and the dense weave is visibly tactile at close range. At 710 gsm, Brunswick Saffron has the weight and body suited to upholstery. It is supplied at a useable width of 140 cm, with a 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat for straightforward cutting and matching.

How to use it

Use Brunswick Saffron on a buttoned chair, sofa or footstool where its warm saffron ground can sit alongside aged wood, tan leather and muted cream. The russet-and-cream chevrons add fine pattern without overwhelming a room.

Use this substantial saffron-and-rust weave to bring warmth and finely patterned texture to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Brunswick Saffron without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
