Brunswick Carmine

Archive IV The Collector Fabrics FabricMOF0078-09

Brunswick Carmine brings a deep, warm carmine ground to a tightly woven cream-and-red herringbone texture. The fine diagonal rhythm gives the surface visual movement while retaining a rich, grounded appearance.

About this fabric

At 710 gsm, Brunswick Carmine is a substantial textile suited to upholstery, with a dense surface that reads as durable and weighty. Close inspection shows a small-scale herringbone or chevron effect formed by alternating carmine-red and warm cream threads, rather than a printed motif. The fabric has a useable width of 140 cm and measures 18 threads per cm, supporting its closely structured appearance. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, and the standard length is 35 m.

How to use it

Use this deep carmine colourway on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where its warm red depth can anchor neutral walls and timber. Pair it with aged brass, dark wood and softly coloured plains to let the small cream herringbone detail show through without competing with larger patterns.

A substantial carmine-and-cream weave for tailored upholstery with a quietly graphic finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
