About this fabric

The design is made up of small horizontal rows of stylised bellflowers, with a 16 cm vertical repeat and a 140 cm horizontal repeat. Its muted fennel-grey detailing has a slightly green, weathered cast rather than a stark cool grey, allowing the cream ground to remain luminous. At 402 gsm and 56 threads per centimetre, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstery, with a 140 cm usable width. The fine surface texture and closely worked pattern give the colourway a quietly tailored appearance.

How to use it

Use this cool cream-and-fennel-grey colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa where its small-scale pattern can read as texture from a distance. Pair it with chalky neutrals, pale timber and touches of the subtle blue-green seen in the narrow side borders.

A substantial 402 gsm textile with a softly aged cream ground and closely spaced fennel-grey floral rows.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bellflowers Fennel/Grey without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
