Voltaire Cerise

Voltaire FabricM4130-29

Voltaire Cerise is a deep, saturated red with a warm cerise edge and a softly mottled woven surface. The close weave gives the colour a velvety density that reads rich rather than bright.

About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is woven in a blend of 42% cotton, 38% viscose, 15% polyester and 5% linen, with an approximate width of 140cm and no visible repeat (V 0cm / H 0cm approx). The cloth appears smooth and fine-grained, with tiny slubs and a slight crosswise texture that catch the light across the surface. Its cerise shade sits between raspberry and deep ruby, creating a warm, jewel-toned red that feels full and refined. The finish looks substantial enough for upholstery while still fluid enough for drapery use, making it a versatile decorative fabric.

How to use it

Use this colourway to add a strong accent on an occasional chair, ottoman or cushion, especially against warm neutrals, dark timber or brass. It also brings a luxurious, cocooning note to curtains when paired with pale stone, blush or soft grey walls.

A rich cerise tone that adds depth to both tailored upholstery and elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
