About this fabric

Woven in 42% cotton, 38% viscose, 15% polyester and 5% linen, Voltaire Foret has a balanced handle that suits both upholstery and curtains. The surface shows a fine, textural plain weave rather than a printed pattern, so the depth comes from the interplay of fibres and light across the cloth. Its dark green tone is subdued and earthy, with a near-black shadowing that gives it a smart, tailored feel. The fabric is approximately 140cm wide, with a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm, and carries fire code √BM.

How to use it

Use this forest green to add depth to a library chair, banquette or pared-back drape, where the colour can sit against oak, brass or stone. It is especially effective in rooms that need a grounded, moodier accent without feeling overly formal.

A rich, grounded green that works beautifully across upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
