About this fabric

This colourway reads as a cool, muted green with creamy highlights, so the check has a fresh but slightly weathered look rather than a bright, graphic one. Woven in 92% viscose and 8% polyester, it has the smooth, slightly lustrous handle you expect from a velour-style fabric, with the pattern sitting close and regular across the cloth. The repeat is approximately V 1.5cm / H 2cm, which reinforces the compact, tailored feel visible in the swatch. At approximately 138cm wide, it is well suited to upholstery pieces where a small-scale pattern can add texture without overpowering the form.

How to use it

Use it on a slipper chair, bench or headboard where the celadon tones can read cleanly against oak, limestone or soft white paint. It also works well with pale brass accents and washed linens for a light, composed room scheme.

A restrained celadon check that feels fresh and tailored on compact upholstery pieces.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Velours Tosca Celadon without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
