Marzac Celadon

Malou Fabric04885-11

Marzac Celadon shows a quietly textured surface in a pale, cool celadon green, broken by fine horizontal striations that give the fabric gentle movement. The overall effect is calm and tailored rather than bright or glossy.

About this fabric

This fabric is woven in a subtle small-scale pattern that reads as layered, almost brick-like bands across the surface, with the celadon ground softened by lighter highlights and muted shadowing. The composition is 60% viscose, 25% cotton, 8% linen and 7% polyester, giving it a softly nuanced handle and a slightly textured appearance rather than a flat finish. With a width of approximately 144cm and a repeat of V 20cm / H 36cm approx, it is suited to coordinated schemes where the pattern can be carried cleanly across larger pieces. The cool green tone feels airy and restrained, making the colourway look fresher in daylight and more subdued in lower light. Its smart, understated character is reinforced by the tidy weave and the refined, decorative rhythm visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use this celadon with pale oak, chalky whites and brushed metals for a fresh, composed room. It also works well as a cooling counterpoint to walnut or deeper green accents.

A cool celadon that feels fresh and refined on both tailored upholstery and light curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
