About this fabric

Woven in 100% silk and measuring approximately 138cm wide, Lazare Agave has a fluid, lightweight character that suits curtains and decorative soft furnishings. The surface shows a subtle horizontal slub and a softly striated finish, which gives the plain ground extra depth without introducing a pattern, and the image reads as a muted green with cool undertones. With a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm approximately, it offers a clean uninterrupted look that lets the weave and sheen do the work. The colour is not bright or vivid; instead it feels mellow, leafy and slightly weathered, with a quiet elegance that is characteristic of silk.

How to use it

Use this agave green to bring a gentle botanical note to rooms with pale plaster, oak or stone, where its muted sheen can soften daylight. It also pairs well with warm neutrals and brass for a composed, understated scheme.

Best used where its quiet sheen and fine silk texture can read softly in the light.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
