Java Celadon reads as a soft, muted green with a clouded, almost mossy depth and a lighter cream pattern broken across the surface.

About this fabric

Woven in 56% viscose and 44% cotton, Java Celadon has a tactile, softly lustrous handle that suits both upholstery and drapery. The design shows a small-scale abstract motif, here appearing in washed celadon and cream tones with an uneven, speckled rhythm that keeps the surface lively rather than flat. At approximately 136cm wide with a vertical repeat of 46cm and horizontal repeat of 34cm, it is practical for patterned schemes that need a considered but not overpowering statement. The colourway feels cool-leaning and restrained, with the cream grounding the greener notes and giving the whole fabric a relaxed, tailored character.

How to use it

Use Java Celadon on a compact armchair, headboard, or curtains where its muted green can bring depth without heaviness. It pairs especially well with limestone neutrals, weathered woods, and aged brass finishes.

A restrained celadon ground with an irregular cream pattern brings quiet texture to tailored interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
