About this fabric

Part of the Velours Tosca collection by Manuel Canovas, this fabric is made from 92% viscose and 8% polyester, with a width of approximately 136cm and a vertical repeat of around 20cm and horizontal repeat of around 17cm. The pile catches the light with a soft lustre, lifting the olive ground into warmer, khaki-tinged highlights and leaving the motif in a lighter, parchment-like contrast. Its compact, textured look suits it to upholstery, where the velvet finish and the small-scale repeat can read crisply across cushions, chairs or a statement sofa. The overall effect is natural but tailored, with a slightly antique, sun-warmed quality rather than a bright green cast.

How to use it

Use this prairie olive on an armchair, ottoman or banquette with walnut, cane or linen to emphasise its earthy depth. It also sits well beside muted terracotta, tobacco and chalky neutrals for a layered, collected scheme.

Pairs well with warm woods and soft neutrals for a tailored, grounded look.
