Velours Moorea Ecarlate

Velours Tosca FabricM4094-07

Velours Moorea Ecarlate is a richly patterned velvet in a deep scarlet red, with a small-scale abstract motif that creates a lively, jewel-like surface. The pile gives the colour a soft gleam, so the design reads bold but still tactile.

About this fabric

Velours Moorea Ecarlate from the Velours Tosca collection is composed of 92% viscose and 8% polyester, with an approximate width of 136cm and a repeat of V 20cm / H 17cm. The velvet surface intensifies the red into a deep scarlet tone, while the irregular cream marking lifts the pattern and keeps the overall look animated. In the image, the colour feels saturated and warm rather than bright or orange, with the pile catching light to give subtle tonal variation across the ground. It is a strong choice for upholstery where a luxurious feel and a graphic small-scale pattern are both desired.

How to use it

Use this scarlet velvet on a chair, ottoman or banquette to bring depth and energy to a room with dark wood, brass or painted finishes. It also works well as a statement drapery accent in a scheme with cream, walnut or charcoal tones.

A vivid scarlet velvet that adds rich warmth and graphic movement to tailored interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Velours Moorea Ecarlate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
