Voltaire Indigo

Voltaire FabricM4130-21

Voltaire Indigo is a richly dark blue fabric with a quiet, tailored presence and a softly mottled surface. The close weave reads almost charcoal in low light, then opens into a restrained indigo when the light catches it.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a deep indigo blue with a very dark, almost inky depth, lifted by the subtle crosswise texture visible in the weave. The fabric is composed of 42% cotton, 38% viscose, 15% polyester and 5% linen, giving it a balanced look that feels substantial without appearing heavy. It is approximately 140cm wide, with a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm approx, so the emphasis is on the plain woven surface rather than pattern. The finish has a soft, matte character that suits the composed, polished mood of this shade, while the fire code √BM is noted for specification purposes.

How to use it

Use Voltaire Indigo where you want a dark, architectural blue that anchors a room without looking stark. It pairs especially well with pale woods, warm neutrals and brushed metals, letting the indigo depth stay elegant rather than severe.

A refined dark blue that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
