About this fabric

Woven in 53% viscose, 26% linen, 16% cotton and 5% polyester, this Chesil fabric has a dry, tactile handle and a finely ridged structure that reads clearly across the surface. The indigo ground is softened by paler blue-grey threads, creating a cool, slightly weathered effect rather than a flat navy. With a Martindale rub test of 35,000 and upholstery grade suitable for contract and general domestic use, it is well suited to hard-working seating. It is specified for fixed upholstery, is 137cm wide, has an approximate vertical pattern repeat of 35cm, and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use Tidal Indigo on a clean-lined armchair, banquette or ottoman where its small-scale pattern can add texture without overpowering the room. The cool blue tones work particularly well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and brushed metal finishes.

A cool indigo weave that adds subtle movement to tailored seating and benches.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
