Strata Pimento

Chesil Fabric

Strata Pimento brings a rich pimento warmth to the Chesil design, with a terracotta ground broken by pale woven blocks. The effect is rhythmic and textural, giving the pattern a smart, grounded presence.

About this fabric

Woven in 6% Polyester, 25% Cotton, 21% Linen and 48% Viscose, this fabric has the dry handle and visible texture you would expect from a characterful upholstery cloth. The 30,000 Martindale rub test and upholstery grade for Contract and General Domestic use make it suitable for hard-working seating, while the A FR rating conforms to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1. Visually, the pimento ground reads as a warm burnt red with terracotta depth, while the small contrasting blocks sit in a softer pale grey-beige tone that lightens the surface. At 137cm wide with an approximate 18cm vertical pattern repeat, it is a considered geometric that feels structured rather than busy.

How to use it

Use Strata Pimento on an armchair, banquette or cushions where the warm red tone can add depth without feeling overly bright. It pairs especially well with walnut, tobacco leather, chalky neutrals and softened sage accents.

A warm, woven terracotta that lifts cleanly against oak, tan leather and muted neutrals.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Strata Pimento without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
