About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen and sold by the metre at 137cm wide, this stripe is designed for fixed upholstery and carries a General Domestic rating with a 30,000 Martindale rub test. The terracotta stripes read as soft clay rather than bright red, while the pale cream stripes keep the overall effect light and easy. Narrow decorative scalloped lines at the stripe edges add a neat, tailored finish without making the design feel fussy. It is machine washable at 30C with around 3% shrinkage, though Linwood also advises dry clean care. The BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 compliance makes it a practical choice for everyday seating in a relaxed scheme.

How to use it

Use it on a sofa, bench, or headboard where the warm terracotta can bring colour without overpowering the room. It works especially well with limewash walls, oiled oak, rattan, and soft stone neutrals.

Pair with chalky neutrals and natural woods for a soft, sun-baked look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
