Loxley Ember

Loxley Fabric

Loxley Ember is a richly woven terracotta colourway with a dry, tactile surface and a softly heathered look. Its warm orange-red tone feels grounded rather than glossy, with tiny yarn shifts that give the cloth depth across the swatch.

About this fabric

This colourway in the Loxley collection shows a compact, semi-plain weave with a visible basket-like texture that softens the surface of the cloth. The ember tone blends burnt orange, rust and clay notes, with lighter flecks that catch the light and stop the colour reading flat. Made in a composition of 38% Viscose, 38% Cotton, 18% Linen and 6% Polyester, it has a tailored natural feel while remaining practical for everyday use. With a martindale rub test of 30,000 and upholstery grade for Contract and General Domestic, it is well suited to fixed seating. It is 137cm wide, sold by the metre, and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use this warm terracotta on a sofa, banquette or headboard where you want colour with substance rather than brightness. It pairs particularly well with oak, tobacco leather and chalky neutrals, letting the fabric’s woven texture provide most of the interest.

A warm, contract-friendly terracotta with enough texture to add depth to seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
