Loxley Cornsilk

Loxley Fabric

Loxley Cornsilk is a softly woven, sunshine-toned fabric with a relaxed, natural look. Its pale golden shade reads warm and light, with a textured surface that keeps the colour from feeling flat.

About this fabric

Woven in a blend of 38% viscose, 38% cotton, 18% linen and 6% polyester, this Linwood fabric has the tactile feel of a tailored upholstery cloth rather than a smooth plain. The surface shows a subtle slub and basket-like weave, with tiny tonal variations that give the cornsilk colour depth and a gently weathered finish. Rated for General Domestic and Contract upholstery, and tested to 30,000 Martindale rubs, it is well suited to fixed seating that needs both character and durability. The 137cm width and semi-plain repeat make it straightforward to work into larger upholstery projects, while the dry-clean care keeps the finish looking crisp.

How to use it

Use Cornsilk to brighten a sofa, armchair or banquette without introducing a sharp white; its warm gold tone sits beautifully with oak, limestone and soft green accents. It is especially effective in rooms that need a little sunshine through the upholstery rather than from the walls.

A warm, sunlit neutral that brings an easy glow to tailored seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
