Voltaire Ambre shows a rich amber-orange surface with a gently mottled, linen-like texture. The colour reads warm and grounded, with a softly luminous depth rather than a flat mustard tone.

About this fabric

This fabric has no visible repeat, with a plain ground that lets the colour and weave do the work. The 140cm approximate width and the blend of 42% cotton, 38% viscose, 15% polyester and 5% linen suggest a versatile cloth with enough body for upholstery while still feeling suitable for drapery. In this swatch, the amber shade sits between golden ochre and burnished orange, and the fine cross-weave gives it a subtle, tailored finish. The tone looks warm and slightly earthy, catching the light with a soft sheen rather than a glossy shine.

How to use it

Use this amber colourway to bring warmth to a neutral scheme, especially alongside tobacco leather, walnut, or muted moss. It also makes a striking curtain or occasional chair fabric when you want a room to feel richer and more intimate.

A warm amber tone that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
