Hampton Stripe Rust

Hampton Fabric07

Hampton Stripe Rust shows a grounded stripe in warm rust, softened by stone and pale ivory bands. The weave has a neat, textured surface that keeps the colourway feeling tailored rather than heavy.

About this fabric

Part of the Hampton collection by J Brown, this Print & Weaves fabric has 40 patterns in the range and is supplied for General Domestic use. The stripe pattern reads in three distinct tones: a deep rust band, a muted oatmeal-stone stripe, and a soft ivory ground, all with a slightly nubby woven texture that catches light across the surface. With a Martindale rub test of 20,000, it is well suited to everyday upholstery or relaxed curtains where a crisp, structured look is wanted. It is composed of 67% Polyester and 33% Recycled Polyester, and is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852.

How to use it

Use this colourway to warm up pale oak, chalky walls and natural linen, or bring it into a scheme with terracotta ceramics and brushed brass. The rust stripe adds depth without overpowering the room, especially against lighter neutrals.

Pairs well with natural timber and cream upholstery for a tailored, quietly warm scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
