Cayman Papaya

Cayman Fabric172

Cayman Papaya is a vivid, sun-baked orange with a softly heathered surface that gives the plain cloth extra depth. The colour reads warm and saturated, with a slightly earthy papaya note rather than a neon citrus finish.

About this fabric

Woven as a plain in the Cayman collection, this colourway has a fine, even texture that lets the rich orange-red tone do the talking. It is made from 100% polyester and carries a 25,000 Martindale rating, so it is suited to general domestic use. The fabric is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and after care includes machine washing at 30℃ or professional dry clean in situ, with further guidance in the pattern book. Visually, the shade sits between paprika and terracotta, bringing a lively warmth without losing its grounded, upholstered feel.

How to use it

Papaya works well as a statement on accent chairs, banquettes, or cushions where its warm orange tone can lift neutral schemes. It also adds a bright, inviting layer against timber, tan leather, chalk white, or deep olive finishes.

Use it for a warm, easygoing pop that still feels polished on sofas or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
