Jetty Jasper

Chesil Fabric

Jetty Jasper is a lively terracotta-orange fabric with a low, woven stripe effect and a softly slubbed surface. The colour reads warm and earthy, with pale flecks lifting the depth across the cloth.

About this fabric

Woven in a blend of 16% Linen, 8% Polyester, 31% Cotton and 45% Viscose, Jetty Jasper has the tactile, slightly rustic feel you can see in the fine horizontal striation of the swatch. Its 35,000 Martindale rating and Fixed Upholstery usage make it well suited to everyday seating, while the A FR rating to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 adds welcome reassurance for domestic and contract settings. The 137cm width gives useful scale for upholstery work, and the semi-plain pattern repeat keeps the overall look easy to tailor across larger pieces. Dry clean care is specified, so it will keep best when professionally maintained.

How to use it

This rusty orange sits well with mid-century shapes, walnut finishes and woven neutrals, especially where you want colour without gloss. It can also warm up grey upholstery schemes by adding a grounded, sunbaked note.

Use with warm oak, tobacco leather and quiet neutrals to let the woven texture do the talking.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
