Lamina Ocean

Chesil Fabric

Lamina Ocean reads as a cool, muted sea green with a subtle woven striation that gives the surface gentle movement. The repeating chevron-like texture catches the light softly, keeping the colourway calm rather than bright.

About this fabric

This colourway combines a fresh ocean-green ground with lighter sage and linen-toned yarns, creating a gently rippled surface that feels textural and composed. Woven in a blend of 47% viscose, 30% cotton, 8% polyester and 15% linen, it has the character of a refined upholstery cloth rather than a flat plain. The fabric is suitable for fixed upholstery, is graded Contract and General Domestic, and carries a Martindale rub test of 25,000, making it well suited to everyday seating. It also conforms to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0, Source 1, and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use Lamina Ocean on an accent chair, sofa cushions or a banquette where its cool green tone can sit against oak, walnut or pale painted walls. The measured pattern repeat and understated shimmer make it especially effective in rooms that need colour without visual noise.

A cool, textural green that brings quiet movement to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
