About this fabric

Part of Linwood’s Chesil collection, this fabric is supplied as a 137cm-wide textile and is specified for fixed upholstery, with a 25,000 Martindale rub test and contract/general domestic upholstery grade. The blend of 47% viscose, 30% cotton, 8% polyester and 15% linen gives the cloth a dry, woven hand that looks structured without feeling heavy. In Cornflower, the design reads as a muted blue with slate and pale sage-leaning highlights, so the pattern appears crisp rather than loud. The small zigzag repeat creates steady rhythm across the cloth, making it easy to use on tailored chairs, benches and statement cushions. It is dry clean only and carries FR compliance to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1.

How to use it

Use this cool Cornflower shade to sharpen oak, painted timber and pale neutrals, or pair it with chalk white and soft grey for a calm, layered scheme. Its restrained blue tone works particularly well on upholstered dining chairs, occasional seating and a neat window seat.

A cool blue woven with a tailored feel, ideal for smart seating and relaxed accent pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
