About this fabric

This colourway reads as a saturated burnt orange, with a molten, sunbaked warmth that gives the velvet a rich depth rather than a flat bright finish. The plain surface keeps the focus on the pile and the shifting sheen, so the shade looks slightly deeper in the shadows and brighter where the light hits. It is supplied at 137cm wide and made from 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose. With a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and upholstery grading for Contract and General Domestic use, it is well suited to hard-working interiors as well as curtains and loose covers. The fabric is also stain resistant, with care instructions including a delicate 30C wash and dry clean.

How to use it

Use this burnt orange velvet to warm up neutral schemes, especially alongside walnut, cream or deep green finishes. It works particularly well on upholstered chairs, benches or curtains where its velvety sheen can bring colour without feeling harsh.

A rich burnt orange velvet that adds warmth and depth to statement seating or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
