Wonderland Floral Velvet Amber/Lapis/Ruby

Harlequin X Sophie Robinson Fabrics VelvetHAF0533-01

This Amber/Lapis/Ruby colourway places an intricate floral and bird design over a warm burnt-orange velvet ground. Saturated lapis blue, ruby, yellow and green details give the dense pattern a richly layered, jewel-like appearance.

About this fabric

The 416 gsm velvet has a substantial, tactile presence suited to upholstery, with a recorded density of 57.7 threads per cm. Against the orange-terracotta ground, stylised birds, flower clusters, curling stems and small scattered sprigs appear in dark outlines with flashes of lapis blue, ruby, cream, yellow and green. The pattern has a 68.5 cm vertical repeat and a 135 cm horizontal repeat, matching the fabric’s 135 cm useable width. Its warm ground gives this colourway more heat and depth than the cooler blue and green accents that animate the surface.

How to use it

Use it on a statement armchair, footstool or occasional seat where the burnt-orange ground can bring warmth to a room. Echo the lapis blue or ruby details in plain cushions and keep surrounding upholstery quieter so the large repeat remains the focus.

A richly coloured velvet for statement upholstery, balancing a warm burnt-orange ground with vivid blue, ruby and botanical accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Wonderland Floral Velvet Amber/Lapis/Ruby without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
