About this fabric

Part of the Maison collection by J Brown, this plain fabric is woven in 100% polyester and specified for Heavy Domestic use, with an impressive 80,000 Martindale rating. The colourway is a deep sandalwood brown with rich rust and copper undertones, shifting darker in the shadowed folds and glowing warmly where the light hits. Its surface appears smooth and closely textured rather than visibly patterned, giving it a refined, velvety character. Supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, it is a practical choice where a smart finish and hard-wearing performance are both required.

How to use it

This warm brown works beautifully on an armchair, banquette or sofa where you want depth without a strong pattern. Pair it with tobacco leather, aged brass and creamy neutrals to bring out its coppered warmth.

A richly warm plain with a velvety depth that suits statement seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
