About this fabric

This colourway from the Omega IV collection is a plain velvet with a calm, even surface and a muted lustre that only appears when the light moves across it. The composition of 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose gives it a practical, resilient handle, while the 100,000 Martindale rub test and Contract / General Domestic upholstery rating support serious seating use. At 137cm wide, it is also suitable for curtains, loose covers and fixed upholstery, and the FR rating conforms to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1. The tone is a warm, almost espresso brown that feels grounded and sophisticated, with enough depth to suit both contemporary and more traditional schemes.

How to use it

Use Cafe Noir on a sofa, banquette or dining chair where its dark brown colour will add weight and polish. It also makes elegant curtains in a warm neutral room, especially beside oak, brass or muted cream finishes.

A rich, low-sheen velvet that brings depth and warmth to tailored seating or elegant drapery.
