About this fabric

This colourway has a quiet, cocoa-brown depth that sits firmly in the darker end of the palette, with the weave visible enough to give the surface some life without breaking its plain appearance. The composition of 30% cotton, 25% viscose, 15% linen and 30% wool gives it the feel of a substantial mixed-fibre textile rather than a flat dyed cloth. With an approximate width of 137cm, a plain repeat, and upholstery grading for contract and general domestic use, it is well suited to both loose cover and fixed upholstery as well as curtains. The 40,000 Martindale rub test and BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 compliance add practical reassurance for everyday use.

How to use it

Use Cafe Noir to anchor a scheme with tan leather, smoked oak and off-white paint for a warm, tailored look. It also works well as a curtain colour where the brown tone can soften daylight and add depth without looking harsh.
