Pluto Cinnabar

Pluto Fabric

Pluto Cinnabar shows a warm burnt orange-brown ground with a fine woven texture and a soft matte finish. The colour reads earthy and enriched, with subtle depth rather than a flat solid block.

About this fabric

This plain fabric is woven in a 30% Cotton, 25% Viscose, 15% Linen, 30% Wool blend, giving it a natural, softly textured surface that suits both furnishings and curtains. With an approximate width of 137cm and a 40,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for Contract and General Domestic use across loose cover and fixed upholstery as well as drapery. The cinnabar colourway is a muted terracotta-orange with a brown base, so it feels warmer and more grounded than a bright rust. Its dry clean care and stain-resistant finish add practicality to the tactile, cloth-like appearance visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use this cinnabar tone to bring warmth to a sofa, reading chair, or Roman blind, especially alongside tobacco leather, walnut, or aged brass. It also works well as a grounded accent against ivory or soft stone walls.

A warm, earthy shade that feels refined on upholstery and relaxed in soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
