About this fabric

This Linwood Pluto colourway combines 30% Cotton, 25% Viscose, 15% Linen and 30% Wool, giving the cloth a dry, textured handle that suits the visible woven finish. At 137cm wide and with no vertical pattern repeat, it offers a practical plain for both relaxed schemes and tailored pieces. The 40,000 Martindale result and contract/general domestic upholstery rating make it suitable for fixed and loose-cover upholstery, while the BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 rating adds reassurance. Dry clean care and stain resistance help preserve the soft clay tone, which sits between olive, taupe and muted khaki in the light.

How to use it

Use Pluto Clay on a sofa or bench where its earthy green-brown note can sit alongside timber, linen and leather. It also works well as curtains in a pared-back room, where the understated tone will feel warm rather than heavy.
