About this fabric

This Linwood velvet is made from 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, and it has a substantial 100,000 Martindale rub test, making it suitable for Contract and General Domestic upholstery. The plain surface and even pile create a clean, tailored look, while the carob tone shows as a dark, cocoa-brown shade with a gentle warmth at the highlights. At 137cm wide and specified for Curtains, Loose Cover Upholstery and Fixed Upholstery, it is a versatile fabric for both seating and window treatments. It is also FR rated to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, and the care instructions include dry clean, delicate wash at 30°C and stain resistance.

How to use it

Use Carob on a sofa, club chair or banquette where you want a deeper neutral that feels rich but not black. It pairs well with tan leather, brushed brass and chalky wall colours, and it will drape neatly for heavy curtains in a scheme with timber and stone.

A rich, contract-grade brown velvet that adds depth and warmth to tailored upholstery or smart drapery.
