Linear Burnt Orange

Acacia Fabric

Linear Burnt Orange pairs slender, wavering vertical lines with a softly textured pale ground. The overall effect is warm and lifted, with the orange threadwork standing out clearly without feeling too heavy.

About this fabric

This Acacia fabric from Fryett's Fabrics is composed of 68% cotton and 32% polyester, with a 145cm width and a 53cm pattern repeat. The design shows narrow, organic vertical stripes in a burnt orange tone set against a light ivory-beige ground with a subtle slubbed texture. The colour reads as earthy and sunbaked rather than bright, giving the pattern a relaxed warmth and a little movement across the surface. Its balanced cloth and decorative stripe make it suitable for either upholstery or drapery where a woven statement is needed.

How to use it

Use this burnt orange colourway to warm up stone, oak or chalky neutrals, where the slender stripe will add height and a gentle rhythm. It works especially well on accent chairs, cushions or tailored curtains in rooms that need a smart but approachable finish.

Warm burnt-orange lines bring lively movement to a neutral scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
