Rowland Turmeric has a softly burnished orange tone, sitting between turmeric, cinnamon and muted terracotta. Its close woven surface creates fine vertical and diagonal movement rather than a visible printed pattern.

About this fabric

The 418gsm weight gives this textile a substantial feel suited to upholstery, while the 143cm useable width supports practical cutting for seating projects. Across the swatch, tiny pale and darker yarn flecks soften the turmeric ground and give the surface a gently mottled, tactile appearance. The warm orange shade reads deeper in the denser areas of the weave and lighter where the fine yarn texture catches the light. A 3cm horizontal repeat records the subtle woven structure rather than a bold decorative motif; the vertical repeat is 0cm.

How to use it

Use Rowland Turmeric on a statement armchair, dining seat or ottoman where its warm cinnamon-orange depth can sit alongside oak, walnut, cream upholstery and aged brass. It also brings a grounded glow to rooms built around neutral stone or soft taupe walls.

A substantial warm-toned woven for upholstered seating, bringing soft turmeric depth without a printed motif.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
