Darwin Orange

Cleo FabricJ0249-06

Darwin Orange in Cleo is a finely textured fabric with a warm terracotta-orange ground that reads soft and sun-baked in the close-up swatch. The tiny dotted surface gives it a lively, tactile appearance rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

This colourway has a mellow orange tone with earthy brown and peach notes, so it feels warm rather than bright or fiery. The small all-over texture softens the colour and creates depth as light catches the woven surface. With a repeat of approximately V 16cm by H 18cm and a width of approximately 144cm, it is a practical decorative fabric for schemes that need pattern without scale. The composition of 44% viscose, 32% cotton and 24% polyester suggests a balanced cloth with a smooth handle and everyday versatility. Fire code √BM and care code Q 8 < T 3 are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Darwin Orange to bring warmth to neutral upholstery, cushions or occasional chairs, especially alongside plaster pinks, oat tones and aged timber. Its muted terracotta depth also works well in rooms that need a smart but inviting accent.

A warm, earthy orange that adds colour without overpowering a scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
